Eastern Iron – Iron’s New Horizon
Eastern Iron Limited (ASX: EFE) is progressing exploration for copper-gold volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits and investigating the development and production potential of a high grade magnetite resource in Eastern Victoria.
Geophysical interpretation of results of the recently completed VTEM geophysical survey from Eastern Iron's Nowa Nowa tenement in eastern Victoria has identified four strong, high priority conductors that may be caused by the presence of massive sulphide. The survey was completed following a review of previous exploration and the identification of extensive Silurian volcanics believed to be the same rocks that host important volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) base metal sulphide deposits in Victoria and southern NSW such as Benambra, Woodlawn and Captains Flat. Follow up ground EM and drilling is planned.
Eastern Iron is currently assessing a transport solution for the development of the high grade magnetite resource at its flagship 100%-owned Nowa Nowa Iron Project in eastern Victoria. Wholly owned Eastern Iron subsidiary Gippsland Iron Pty Ltd has 100% interest in the Nowa Nowa Iron Project. For further project details, click here.
