Eastern Iron Limited listed on the ASX in 2008, with the objective of discovering and delineating iron ore projects on the eastern seaboard of Australia where the opportunity for development is aided by a well established network of transport and port infrastructure. Since listing, the company has successfully drilled and announced maiden resources at four project areas – Cobar Iron Pisolite project in western NSW, Eulogie and Hawkwood Iron-Vanadium projects in Queensland and the Nowa Nowa Iron project in eastern Victoria. The Cobar Iron Pisolite project was sold to joint venturer 3E Steel and the company has withdrawn from the Eulogie project. A feasibility study has been completed at the Nowa Nowa project in Victoria the where Eastern Iron is investigating mining the magnetite-rich iron ore at the Five Mile deposit. The company is also actively assessing the potential for copper-gold volcanogenic massive sulphide deposits in the Nowa Nowa area.
Eastern Iron brings together an experienced team of exploration and mining professionals with an established track record of project delineation, feasibility, finance and development.
